What if I am completely new to helicopters?
You are in good company. The founder of RapidSky is a fixed wing pilot, that knew very little about helicopters. Herby had to find his way through the complex world of rotorcraft ownership and operation, learning along the way. Making mistakes and figuring things out, so that you don’t have to. Herby guides you through the process.
I'm an experienced pilot/owner, what's in it for me?

Are there lifetime limits on the fuselage, engines and blades?
No, there is nothing that expires on RapidSky helicopters. It’s yours for life. There are of course essential maintenance tasks, as well as TBO (Time Before Overhaul) periods for engines, gearboxes and blades.
What powerplants can I choose from, using which fuel types?
- Piston engines that use avgas, mogas, and biofuels.
- Piston engines that use diesel, paraffin, and jet fuels.

What are the exterior colours I can choose from?
Helicopters can leave the factory painted brilliant white. Owners have the flexibility to decorate the exterior as desired. Perhaps adding the particular branding, decals and logos of the company, flying club and/or training establishment. This is easily done with adhesive vinyl, and can be installed by any competent company, locally.

What are the interior materials and colour palettes?
We use only the finest genuine leather, real wool, sustainable wood and fireproof fabrics. Every interior is custom designed, using broad colour palettes, and natural materials. Expertly crafted together by Italian artisans. Carefully matching the helicopter interior to the exact colour scheme desired by the customer.
Are the seating configurations easily inter-changeable?
Yes. The seats are lightweight and slot into secure racks. Simply remove as and when cargo space is required.
Tell me about cerification and where I can fly my helicopter?
RapidSky helicopters are currently in the Experimental category. This allows for non-commercial operations, until EASA certification is obtained. This takes time, but in the interim there is no problem in legally flying your helicopter. We assist our clients, to obtain a Permit to Fly, depending in which particlar country they reside.
Can you assist in finding adequate insurance for my helicopter?
Yes. We work with several brokers, willing to insure RapidSky helicopters, and refer our clients accordingly.
Where are the helicopter parts manufactured and assembled?
The majority of the helicopter components orginate in the EU. Some engine parts come from the UK. The engines are assembled in South Africa, France and Germany. The final assembly is in Italy. The helicopter is essentially a product of the EU. The manufacturing/assembly process follows strict ISO and EASA guidelines.
Do you provide a delivery service to my country and helipad?
Yes. We fly the helicopter directly to any destination within Western Europe, at no extra charge. For destinations outside Western Europe, packaging into a 40 foot container is at no extra cost. However, the shipping costs are variable, and thus for the account of the client. These charges are calculated and added to the final payment.
Tell me about the factory warranty and buy-back guarantee?
The factory warranty is 1000 hours and/or FIVE years, whichever comes first. This excludes regular service intervals and general maintenance. The warranty includes a buy back gauarantee, whereby RapidSky will buy back the helicopter for up to 90% of the selling price, depending on the condition, should the client wish to return if for any reason, in the first THREE MONTHS of ownership. No questions asked. We simply take it back.
Is there an online community to interact with other owners?
Yes. We facililiate an online helicopter discussion forum, with a private area for owners of RapidSKy helicopters.
Do you provide after-sales support and customer service?
Absolutely. Once your helicopter is delivered, it’s the start of a long journey together. There is a dedicated support team in place, readily available, wherever you may fly. Invariably our clients become good friends.
Why is the price less expensive than most other helicopters?
RapidSky is a relatively young company. We don’t carry the burden of legacy systems, outdated technologies, and unionized labour. We started with a fresh, clean slate. Using modern, sustainable materials, and more efficient AI driven processes. RapidSky is new, nimble and innovative, finding the smartest way from A-Z.

What's the order process and how much to secure my production slot?
- Reserve your helicopter production slot, by paying a GBP £1000 refundable deposit.
- You’ll immediately be presented with a calendar, to book a video meeting with Herby.
- Making a monetory commitment, indicates that you are serious, and want to proceed.
- Once everything is discussed and agreed, 30% payment is required to start production.
- When the engine is about to be installed, a further 30% payment is required to continue.
- When all the avionics and interior are ready for installation, the next 30% payment is due.
- We provide regular updates throughout the production process, keeping you well informed.
- The balance of the purchase price is payable, seven days before the delivery date is confirmed.
